Jan 7: Karaoke-less Birthday
IT'S LUIS' BIRTHDAY TODAY!!!!
We've been in the Philippines for 3 weeks already. It seems like forever, but it still was not enough to see everything and do everything that we wanted! And now, Luis celebrates his first birthday in the Philippines. My parents actually planned the whole party -- getting a caterer, securing the rooftop, and inviting our family and friends. Unfortunately, Luis only partially celebrated it in true Philippine fashion.
Lots of food? Check!
Cake? Check!
Lots of family and friends? Check.
Karaoke? Eh. Upon my pleading, my folks restrained on acquiring a karaoke machine, to avoid embarrassment -- for Luis' sake. Though Luis has been subjected to the Filipino karaoke parties and has been successfully coerced to sing to the tune of Billy Joel, it might be too shocking for him to see my family and friends do it! LOL. The party was a lot of fun, the food was delicious, but it was not long enough to catch up with everyone. Sigh! I miss everyone already!
Anyway, Luis will get the karaoke birthday party next time!
